Responsibilities

As Frontend Developer at Pimcore you will…

• design, implement, further develop and document modern and target group optimized web frontends for Pimcore’s customer-facing backend management system or other frontend extensions of Pimcore
• develop & use of reusable UI components, frontend design patterns & libraries
• develop user interfaces based on top-of-the-game technologies such as React, Redux, ExtJS, GraphQL, Symfony, etc.
• develop frontend-related first-party plugins and extensions for Pimcore based on defined design & integration patterns
• coordinate & collaborate with other Pimcore frontend developers, backend developers, product managers and UX/product designers on a daily basis
• conduct code reviews & perform refactoring measures
• be a team player, work closely with the team and get things done together
• closely collaborate with Pimcore community

• supporting in evaluating, defining and further developing state-of-the-art frontend architecture & technologies at Pimcore
• defining APIs to Pimcore backend software architecture and solution conception (Senior level)
• supporting in integrating existing third party products into Pimcore platform by designing and implementing unified UI integration features, patterns & methods
• mentoring & evangelizing other teams at the use of state-of-the-art web technologies at Pimcore
• providing Technical support for technical frontend issues
• training and consulting partner developers & customers in regards to Pimcore’s frontend capabilities and functionalities

Requirements

• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related
• At least 3 years (Expert level) or 5-7 years (Senior level) of experience as a software developer implementing frontend functionalities and user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3/SASS & Javascript
• Working Experience with JS-Frameworks like React and a flexible approach to technologies/standards like webpack, SASS or a thirst for knowledge to learn these technologies
• Profound know-how about design patterns, principles & systems for state-of-the-art web applications
• The ability to work well in a team as well as independently on individual projects and challenges
• Profound English skills
• A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application)

For this position we differentiate Junior, Expert, and Senior maturity levels. For a full-time position with “Expert” seniority level we offer a starting salary of EUR 50,400 gross/year with the potential to earn more, depending on your qualifications and experience.
